Raynors have commissioned our first electric/diesel hybrid delivery van. The van uses batteries to power an electric motor which assists the van when accelerating and thus uses less fuel. The clever bit is charging the batteries when the van breaks, thus capturing the energy usually lost slowing down.
The result is a reduction in the van’s emissions and less fuel being used means a reduction in the carbon footprint of your sandwiches. They still get to you in good time, by our fully trained CRB checked drivers, but the planet is a little less warm because of it.
