In a month full of achievements, and after securing the status of supplier to The Royal Household at Buckingham Palace, Raynor Foods is proud to announce the winning of the prestigious British Sandwich Association Manufacturer of the Year Award 2010.
The highly-coveted prize, awarded on Thu 13th May at the Grange St Pauls Hotel in London, is the much deserved result of Raynors’ years of intense work on its standards and procedures, which had already been rated with a grade A by British Retail Consortium (BRC) last December.
Technical Manager Tom Hollands, responsible for the company’s food and quality standards, sums up the mood of the whole company following the great evening.
“It is immensely exciting to have won the award. It marks the end of a month (started with the appointment to the Royal household) that we are not going to forget.”
But it hasn’t been a full surprise. The reality is that you don’t reach such levels by chance or in a single day. It takes lots of commitment and dedication at every level of our production facility over a prolonged period of time.
We had invested heavily in technology and training in the last year to get to this point. It has been hard work, but thanks to the stunning efforts of everybody, we have managed to enhance the fantastic manufacturing facility that we have. This prize is recognition of the exceptional hard work and outstanding performance of the whole team.
However, now we understand that the hard work must continue in order to maintain our status, as one of the industry’s most unique and distinctive manufacturers.
